4-20mA Sensor Integration Installation

1 - Electrical Connections

Refer to IoT Pro Opening and Closing for instructions on opening the device to access its wiring connections.

IOTPRO Interface Board Preparation

The analogue inputs of the IOTPRO can be configured for either 4–20mA or 0–30VDC sensors.

  1. Open the IOTPRO and locate the GPIO/Sensor Interface Board

  2. For 4-20mA operation, verify that the resistor selection connections are closed for each analogue input in use, as shown below

IOTPRO Wiring

Refer to the wiring diagram below and complete the following steps:

  1. Connect the sensor's 4-20mA output to AIN1 and/or AIN2, as required.

  2. Power the 4-20mA sensor using an external power supply or, optionally, the 12–24VDC power input terminals on the IOTPRO Power Board, provided the supply meets the sensor's requirements.

If the sensor is powered by a separate external power supply, ensure that the sensor ground (GND) is connected to the IOTPRO ground (GND) to establish a common ground reference

2 - Mechanical Installation

Refer to IoT Pro Installation Options for different installation options. Wall anchors are recommended for most applications.

3 - System Commissioning

Device Setup

Using the IoT Pro Device Setup Mobile Application:

  1. Set the Analogue Mode to 4-20mA for Analogue Channels 1 and/or 2, as required

  2. Activate the IoT Pro device according to the communication network being used:

    1. Activate the Device - Cellular
