IoT Pro Park Sensor

Installation Guide

This guide will walk you through installing the IoT Pro Parking Sensor. The process typically takes 1 hour for a standard installation.

Installation

Always prioritize safety when working with power tools and wear appropriate protective gear, such as safety goggles and gloves

  1. Before you begin the installation, ensure that the ground is suitable for the parking sensor

    1. The ground on which the sensor is to be installed should be straight, solid and compact

    2. The ground should also be cleared from any loose rocks or small rocks

    3. When the sensor is placed on the flat ground it should not swivel because of uneven ground or because of rocks underneath

  2. The center of the parking spot is to be found and marked by the installer with spray or other as shown in the below drawing

  3. Four equally spaced pilot holes having a P.C.D (Pitch circle diameter) of 150 mm are to be drilled using the 5 mm drill bit

    1. A standard power drill or a hammer drill should be capable of drilling holes in asphalt or concrete effectively

    2. Use a steady, controlled drilling motion and apply steady pressure to avoid overheating the bit or causing damage to the tarmac surface

    3. Using water as coolant can help reduce heat build-up during drilling

  4. Enlarge the drilled pilot holes to suit the anchor assembly using the 10 mm drill bit to a depth of 100 mm

    1. The holes should be cleaned prior to inserting the plastic anchor in the ground with a blow-out pump

  5. Install the IoT Pro Parking Sensor with 4 bolts and plastic anchors as shown

    1. A maximum torque of 11 Nm is to be applied with a calibrated torque wrench

    2. The installer must also ensure that the plastic housing is not being damaged or deformed during installation
