FAQ - Network Connection - LoRa
Device won't connect to LoRa network
If you've just tried activating your device but the Time since last successful registration is not a few seconds or a minute ago, then check the following:
Ensure that the DevEUI, AppEUI (JoinEUI) and AppKey match those configured on your LoRa network server
Ensure that the LoRaWAN configuration is correct, including the LoRaWAN version, Regional Parameters and frequency settings
Ensure that the device is within coverage of a compatible LoRa gateway
If the device previously connected successfully but can no longer rejoin, check for DevNonce errors on the network server. If necessary, reset the Device Context or clear the stored DevNonce history (platform dependent).
If the issue persists, check the network server logs for rejected Join Requests, MIC errors or other registration failures.
Messages aren't sending but Network is Connected
If you've activated your device and the Pending Messages count remains high or Sending Status shows "Send Failing", check the following:
Ensure that ADR is enabled. Disable ADR and configure a fixed Data Rate (DR) only if you understand the implications.
Test with and without Confirm Delivery enabled.
Check whether
network_common_param_uplink_payload_limit_exceeded(0x000D) has been reported. This indicates that the uplink payload exceeds the maximum permitted size at the current data rate.
