Device Configuration

Overview

The Device Settings page can be accessed from Settings and Device Settings. It allows you to view the current configuration of a device or remotely configure settings such as the log rate, send rate, and network configuration.

The Queue shows whether the previously applied configuration has been received by the device, either partially or in full.

View Device Configuration

To view the current Application or Network settings for a device, click the View icon on the right. Then select Application or Network.






Edit Device Configuration

Do not edit Network Settings unless you know what you are doing or have been instructed to do so by the IoT Solutions team. An incorrect network configuration may cause the device to lose connectivity and stop communicating with the platform.

  1. Select one or more devices using the checkboxes

  2. Click Create Task

  3. When multiple device types are selected, only the Network Settings can be edited in bulk

  4. Change the Log Rate, Send Rate, and Diagnostic Data Period as required, then click Apply

    1. Templates can also be loaded. These are managed from the Templates button at the top-right.
