Battery Replacement

What you’ll need

  • T10 screw driver

  • Replacement battery pack (provided by IoT Solutions)

  • 1 x 88mm ID O-ring (provided by IoT Solutions)

  • 4 x 3mm ID O-rings (provided by IoT Solutions)

  • 4 x Void seals (provided by IoT Solutions)

Opening Instructions

  1. Puncture the void seals with the screw driver to loosen and remove the screws


  2. Once the screws are removed, use a flat screw driver with a wide tip to gently pry the bottom cover loose

    The used void seals can be cleanly removed from the bottom cover using a thin blade



  3. Remove the screw holding the PCB with the T10 screw driver


  4. Move the PCB to the side and unclip the battery connector


  5. Use a flat screw driver with a wide tip to gently pry the battery pack off the bottom cover


  6. Install the replacement battery pack onto the bottom cover, ensuring that the battery pack wiring harness is aligned with the mark on the bottom cover


  7. Connect the new battery pack to the PCB (refer to Step 4) and verify that the sensor is working correctly before proceeding by connecting with it using the mobile application


  8. Assemble the PCB with the screw removed previously, and tighten with a calibrated torque wrench to 0.70±0.05 Nm



  9. Remove the old O-ring from the bottom cover and clean the dry sealer from the bottom cover


  10. Apply a thin bead of sealer to the O-ring ridge shown in red to ensure that the new O-ring remains seated in place during the following steps



  11. Install the new 88mm ID O-ring provided into the O-ring ridge


  12. Remove the old O-rings from inside the top cover and replace with four new 3mm ID O-rings provided


  13. Assemble the bottom cover and the top cover with the four screws removed previously, and tighten in a star pattern (1 → 3 → 2 → 4) with a calibrated torque wrench to 0.70±0.05 Nm


  14. Install new void seals on the screws
